Qantas management around the country are busy behind closed doors planning their response to impending industrial action by NUW members.
Click here to see their planned simulation
of how they will manage operations in supply chain during an industrial dispute with the NUW.
What is interesting in all this is that Qantas Management have never genuinely negotiated with the NUW in 16 months of negotiations yet are spending time in the early hours of the morning planning their ‘war games’. The real question here is:
Are Qantas Management deliberately manufacturing a dispute with the NUW for more sinister reasons? Time will tell…watch this space.

What an absolute joke. To think they actually sit down to plan this rubbish. Nothing always goes to plan Qantas take note.
I’ve got an action plan. Sit on the toilet and have a S***.

16 months of utter BS with Qantas has lead the members of the NUW to the business end of the process
qantas has asked members to trade off , on conditions of employment in which it will accept its wage claim…. ballocks
to REQUEST a trade off , on conditions at the backend of negotiations is in bad faith and to ask to trade off , on transport allowance under current economic situations is ludicrous
go your hardest they say
whilst the union seeks protected action , qantas in return run simulations as well as placing contengency plans into effect , relying heavily on STRIKE BREAKERS
manufacturing a dispute comes to mind , so does PATRICKS…. ha

The action shall be taken.
To those who think not, think again.
Once bitten, twice shy.

It’s no surprise that they have a plan, the question is, will they do it within the guidelines of workcovers OH&S laws. How many of these strikebreakers will have the proper credentials to operate the machinery??? A workcover officer should be called in when we walk to ensure that all licences etc are up-to-date

Now that we have our EBA signed and delivered can anyone tell me when the commission found it to be ok to sign off ? None of our union delegates seem to know when “the 7days after” kicks in. I want to know when my wage increase takes effect

Has the fight gone out of the dog or has the dog gone out of the fight ??? I’m left wondering whether AWA’s might be the way to go after all. I havent seen a union organiser at the freight terminal for some weeks now, and i, along with many other union members want to know when we are getting our money. But alas, it took the persistance of Mr Bill Artemi (who is just a financial member) to get an answer from the pay office that we are to be payed on the 20th Jan. Shame Martin… Shame Paul… This is your job to find out these things. Next time an EBA comes up…just take the offer and spare us all the agony of waiting for our money.
