Standards of Conduct Policy
Responsibilities of Managers and Employees
Cardinal Rules
Standards of Behaviour
Unacceptable Behaviours
Theft Fraud & Removal of Property
Breach of Policy
In addition to these, Qantas have definitions of behaviour which include:
In these cases, Qantas suspends everyday Freight Workers who are in suspected breach of any of these policies pending an investigation, and during that time usually suffer the humiliation and indignity, even when cleared of any allegation which is on most occasions.
Yet here we have in the midst of the most serious corporate offences, allegations, charges, severe fines of $70 Million and jail terms now being handed out, guess what?
Our Senior Manager – Freight Executive Stephen Cleary that has been named and under investigation in the price fixing cartel….yes the one who recently criticised Freight Workers for fighting against having our wages slashed and our family lives trampled is not on any suspension pending the investigation.
He is tomorrow giving us Freight Workers a “Business Update on the Need for Continual Improvement”…..Can you Believe This?

one could only feel sorry for Steve during his unfinished presentation to freight staff in sydney
interuptions about price fixing was asked
questions ranged from the current operation matters to future issues
steve looked confused and unsure
the same look that one would display when one is ill informed
his support team where not much better
the barrage steve and his support team copped from staff was direct and passionate
thats what happens when jobs are at stake and the threat of job security is on the line
will steve and his team take on board the concerns from staff
time will tell
